MODEL I

B.A ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

The programme offers students a historical, socio-cultural perspective of Literature alongside an introduction to different genres and history of English Language. It engages students with diverse authors from all over the world in English and in translation too. Psychology is its Complementary Course.

It ensures the development of excellent verbal & written communication skills, critical faculties, research aptitude, engagement with cultural and social diversity of the world. The Programme opens career opportunities in amazingly diverse range of fields if topped up with a post graduate degree. MODEL II

B.A ENGLISH ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The programme is vocational in nature as it includes Complementary and Vocational Courses like Business Communication, Business Accounting, Computer Applications and Office Practices along with the Core modules of BA English Model I. It is ideal for careers in office administrative environment.

MODEL III TRIPLE MAIN

B.A ENGLISH LITERATURE, COMMUNICATION & JOURNALISM

The programme gives students a degree with employment experience. It introduces students to the constantly evolving world of Journalism and Mass Communication. It gives equal importance to its three Core subject areas. Apart from a grounding in Literature, it provides technical skills, specialised training and language skills for communicative purposes, expertise in creative writing and innovative ways in which students can engage with the public. With the range of transferable skills taught, students can take themselves to exciting careers in Marketing, PR, Theatre/Radio and Television production, Publishing-to name just a few.

Post Graduate Programmes

Bishop Chulaparambil Memorial College, Kottayam offers all the Programmes except Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) to female candidates only. However, male candidates are eligible to apply for Master of Social Work (M.S.W.)  programme at the College
