The BCM Family is immensely proud and filled with great joy to be an integral part of the THRIVE program this year, marking a significant milestone in our college’s legacy of social service. The THRIVE (Tribal Higher Education and Interactive Ventures) program is a flagship initiative of the Government of Kerala, spearheaded by the Kerala Youth Leadership Academy (KYLA) to empower tribal students in Model Residential Schools (MRS). By integrating mentorship and experiential learning, the project aims to bridge educational gaps and provide students with vital exposure to diverse career paths and essential skill-building. Reflecting our college’s commitment to social responsibility, 16 dedicated students from BCM College, Kottayam have been selected as the THRIVE Volunteers. They participated in a transformative three-day THRIVE camp held at Hosana Mount, Pala, from December 20 to 22. Throughout the camp, our volunteers actively participated in intensive training and interactive ventures, demonstrating exemplary leadership and teamwork. They did a great job in their respective groups, successfully facilitating mentorship sessions and fostering a supportive environment for the tribal students. This engagement not only highlights the program’s importance in creating future leaders but also showcases the significant impact our students are making in the community.
