BCM Activity Intimation and Reporting (BCM AIR)

This represents an innovative venture from Mimamsa, the live lab operated by the Department of Statistics at Bishop Chulaparambil Memorial College, Kottayam. The impact of Mimamsa on the BCM community has been profound, marked by its inventive approach and significant contributions to both administrative and academic realms within the college.
Previous initiatives by Mimamsa have set a noteworthy precedent. Two such initiatives include:
IndRA (In-depth Result Analysis): Mimamsa has pioneered an insightful approach to result analysis, going beyond conventional methods. IndRA focuses on a comprehensive examination of examination results, providing a nuanced understanding that goes beyond surface-level assessments.
Categorization of Students based on Relative Marking: Another notable contribution is the introduction of a categorization system that utilizes relative marking. This innovative approach acknowledges and evaluates students’ performances in relation to their peers, offering a more nuanced perspective on academic achievements.
Mimamsa’s commitment to innovation and its proactive engagement in refining academic processes showcase its dedication to fostering a dynamic and progressive learning environment within Bishop Chulaparambil Memorial College. As Mimamsa continues to evolve, it undoubtedly stands as a beacon of ingenuity within the BCM community.
BCM AIR – Context

BCM AIR is envisioned in two phase. In phase one consists of Intimation, Approval and Report Capturing.

In the Intimation phase, the coordinator of the program shall intimate the authorities about the programme or activity to be organized. On the successful submission of this google form a pdf file will be emailed to the coordinator. Also a unique program/activity code will be generated at this juncture
The print out should include the number of programes or activities for which report has to be submitted. A hard copy of the same shall be submitted to the Bursar/Principal to ensure the necessary support of the non-teaching staff for the program.
Once the hard copy is received by the Principal, he has to submit a google form indicating administrative sanction to the program and indicating the non-teaching staff allocated for the support. Only those programmes for which the bursar granted permission will be available for report submission.

Upon program approval, the report panel will be enabled for the aforementioned program, and organizers are required to upload the original reports and associated documents to the panel. Submitted documents will be subsequently forwarded to the respective criterion heads as soon as they are received. Criterion heads should verify the sufficiency of the documents and, if improvements are needed in the report, they are responsible for sending it back for corrections along with an email to the respective organizer.
In the second phase, reports can be generated and filtered based on the domain of activity and the organizer.
