Educere- BCM Journal of Social Work

Educere – BCM journal of Social Work is bi-annual journal (with ISSN 2249-1090) published by Dept. of Social Work Bishop Chulaparambil Memorial (BCM) College, Kottayam, Kerala, India since 1985. The journal has vide circulation across India. Educere – BCM journal of Social Work welcomes article ideas and submissions from all Social Work practitioners, social work students and practitioners from other development sector. The article could be based on any subjects needed or useful for social work practice. All writers receive complimentary copies of the issue in which the article appeared. They are also encouraged to subscribe ‘educere’

Topics
Educere publishes research papers, book reviews, features about voluntary organizations and articles aimed at a student or faculty audience. Papers can be of academic and field based professional experiences in socially relevant sectors and issues such as like Social Change, Current Trends, Environment , Gender, Development and direct practice of Social Work in different settings

Articles should be prepared in APA style. The writing style should be engaging and lively, scholarly or academic. Acceptance of your article or idea for publication is at the discretion of the editor/editorial board an depends on the journal’s needs at any given time. To ensure your article is right for educere, contact the editor first to flesh out your idea before writing/submission.

Article Length
Feature articles generally range from 3,000- 5,000 words, although other lengths are accepted.

It is up to the writer to ensure all facts are accurate. All submissions will be edited for style, grammar, length, and clarity. If your article is substantially revised, it will be e-mailed to you for review before publication.

 Deadline for Submission
In general, articles must be received by the editor no later than one month prior to the publication date, i.e., Feb. 1 for the March issue, October 1 for the November issue. The editor reserves the right to assign an earlier deadline or to hold your submission for a later issue.

How to Submit Articles
All submissions should be e-mailed directly to the editor as an attachment, only in Microsoft Word (use only Times New Roman font). Need not to send hard copies. The article should have a summary/abstract of around 150 – 250 words

Your article should include the writer’s name; full writer identification (title, institution/organization or company, city, state); suggested headline and suggested subheads within the body of the article. The author has to ensure that article is plagiarism free.

If possible, please include photographs, line art, charts, graphs, and/or tables with your submissions. If the artwork is not your own, please make sure you have permission to publish it.
